Hello Blogging World!

Hello all!  With the impending birth of our baby boy (2 weeks away!), I've decided to join countless other moms-turned-bloggers who feel the need to divulge every cute burp, giggle, and poop their babies experience.  Of course, my baby's burps/giggles/poops will be far superior to all others out there...so this blog will be special!  At least, I'm sure it will be to the two grandmas that I can count on to be dedicated readers.  Everyone says the first months of motherhood are a blur, so hopefully with this blog, I can have some documentation of Baby Hoots' first experience at life.  Maybe when Eric and I are old and crotchety and getting ready to be shipped off to the nursing home, we can pull up some archives and say "Look what we had to put up with your first years! We changed your diapers...why don't you want to help change ours?!"  Or maybe when Baby Hoots is no longer a baby, he can at least have some documentation to provide to his therapist that might help determine when things started to go awry.  Either way, we may not know exactly what we're doing, but we're excited to give this parenthood thing a whirl!
