It felt like we were on vacation, and besides running some rare child-free errands during the two days, my weekend was unproductive, and therefore enjoyable.
Lots of lying by this saltwater pool:
The weekend was not without some excitement. On Friday, Eric took the groomsman to play basketball in the Smith Center. He returned with a sprained ankle. Terrific timing, since Eric started basketball camp this week. Not exactly a sit-down job. He did make it down the aisle though, albeit a bit slow. Here's us after the rehearsal dinner, utilizing the ice bucket the drinks were in.

Eric was able to call the Sports Medicine clinic to get Preston in to get stitched up quickly and they arrived at the rehearsal only 15 minutes late. Thankfully, the cut was in a great spot right in Preston's eyebrow. After it was over, you could barely tell a difference. While the guys were getting out of the pool after the blood bath, Bobby Frasor (who's elbow caused the drama) spotted a wedding ring at the bottom of the pool. One of the groomsman had lost it and not even realized it. Did I mention it was Friday the 13th?
The good news? The bride and groom got hitched without a hitch and the kids arrived back in Chapel Hill in one piece!
