Christmas in Newton

This year, we spent Christmas in Newton and it was a success as Santa found his way to the small town. Christmas Eve was spent at Pop's church. This is one of those times mthat Averys late bedtime pays dividends. Here's Grandma and he ladies making each other laugh.

Eric and David were responsible for passing out candles, and Brady and Jackson decided they wanted in on the action.

The kids stayed up until 10 pm, and I attempted getting them all to sleep in one bed.

It was great in theory but in practice, Brady and Jackson are wild sleepers and Avery isn't used to getting toddled around in the middle of the night. So she woke several times which made my Christmas nap that much better. Despite going to bed at 10, the kids were all up just before 7 to see what sort of Christmas miracles awaited them downstairs.

My kids were apparently angels this year based in their gift piles. You'll have to take my word for it (the gift part, not the angelic part), because I took no pictures.

We didn't leave the house all day, which is my kind of Christmas. Someone to play with my kids and cook my meals was my best gift this Christmas season!

I'll leave you with a cute video of Avery correcting Ari on the proper pronunciation of "Marshall," from Paw Patrol.
