Halloween was a success and costumes reflected personalities. First up, a picture from a Halloween party. This was back when Avery was going to be Peppa Pig. Good thing I only spent $5 on her costume before she discovered a Supergirl costume in her closet.

Supergirl needed her cape to keep up with this speedy crew, but the lure of candy can do amazing things and she kept pace with the older crowd at amazing speed. The convict was ultimately captured and detained by the vigilant police officer and rule follower, Jackson.
Fast forward a few weeks and we are already nearing Thanksgiving, which my oldest son wanted to bet big money was on a Wednesday, not a Thursday like his dopey mom said. I don't know if you know, but second graders know a lot of things that you might now know. I guess that's favorable to the time period in which your kids will belief anything that comes out of your mouth?
Eric traveled with the Tar Heels to Las Vegas and my parents flew in from Iowa to spend Thanksgiving with us. They were put to good use fixing the Pop a Shot basketball goal, installing a porch door, putting up our Xmas decorations (post-Thanksgiving) and playing with the kids. They earned their turkey....which my mom actually made. We went to Marbles Museum, almost lost Jackson, played pickleball, and finished the trip by witnessing Larry Fedora's last game as a UNC coach.
We were sad to see him so but excited for our visit to Phoenix in Janurary!
