The long awaited cousin convention finally arrived and boy was it fun! The good thing about only seeing each other a few times of year is that there is lots of excitement and joy when they do convene. Here is a rowdy spaghetti dinner. Since they don't get to celebrate eachother's birthdays in person, they went around the table and sang Happy Birthday to each cousin. That may not have been the actual reason....the actual reason probably had more to do with the fact that kids like repetition like squirrels like acorns.
And when the adults couldn't handle any more noise, movie night is born.
And not to overshadow spaghetti dinner, but out selfless hostess Aunt Ada made an amazing Thanksgiving feast while many others of us went to the Tar Heel game.
I could get used to coming home to a hot meal on that table every night. But I won't.
Our Minnesota cousins had to go home early, but we continued to have lots of fun in Oregon.

It's as cold and rainy as it looks. Though I got the grumpy faces by telling them they get only broccoli for dinner.

We had a wonderful trip out west but we were happy to be heading home!

We landed at 5 am EST and my poor kids had to stand outside the plane for about 5-10 waiting for bags in about 36 degree weather. Jackson was tired, shivering, and trying to keep it together. Taking the red eye is not for the faint of heart, and I give our kids lots of credit!
