Cautious optimism

Last week at the beach, we celebrated my nephew's first birthday.  While his true birthday is today, we had an early celebration which involved Leo's first cupcake.  At first, he seemed suspicious of the sugary treat, but I think the pictures do a good job of revealing his true feelings.
