Brady and I drove down to Greensboro Thursday afternoon and came back last night after the game. Brady was behaved on the trip...at least, during the hours when the sun was shining. We didn't have a suite with a separate room to put Brady while we were awake, so we instead put the baby (in the crib) in the bathroom until our bedtime. The bathroom filtered out all light, but not all sound. Brady is a pretty heavy sleeper, but even Brady couldn't sleep through Eric's raucous while he was watching the Dukies lose to Leheigh (a side-note: one of my favorite moments of the weekend was when all the Carolina fans stood and cheered as Leheigh walked into the arena during the middle of the game last night. They never dreamed they'd reach such celebritydom). Anyway, I told Eric if he couldn't control himself, he'd need to leave. He left. And lucky for him, Brady fell back asleep on his own.
A lady behind me at the game last night leaned over and solemnly told me that I should not have any more children. It was meant as a compliment, and she said it after she told me Brady was the best baby she'd ever seen, which as his mom I won't dispute, but I thought that to be quite the bold assessment after watching a baby for an hour. But it made me wonder...please someone out there tell me that it is possible to have more than one easy child? This isn't the first time I've been told to shut the baby factory down...flight attendants and other random strangers have warned me about my next baby-to-be. Apparently he/she will come out with horns on his/her head and fire spitting from his/her mouth. Can't wait.
Right behind Duke's loss, pool time was a trip highlight. The last time Brady got in a pool, he was 3 months old and seemed rather apathetic about the whole thing. Poor Brady got dragged in the pool 4 times in 3 days, but as you will see by the pictures, he doesn't seem to mind. It is a close competition between Eric and Brady as to who had more fun in the pool. I'll say Eric edges Brady by a hair.
And keeping with the water theme, here is a video of Brady in the bathtub. He's always a trip during bath time.
I hope he doesn't hate me in the future for sharing his (cute) butt.
